ANGELA M. HESSLER

Director and Chair of the Board

Angela Hessler is an earth scientist with a PhD from Stanford University. She has worked in academia and industry and started DTI to help advance paleoclimatology and earth science education. She is also the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Geoscience Education. Angela grew up exploring the ancient coral reefs of central Missouri, USA. 

ANDREA FILDANI

Co-Director and Secretary of the Board

Andrea Fildani is an earth scientist with a PhD from Stanford University. He has worked in industry and joined DTI to pursue research on past ocean acidification events and philosophy of science studies. Andrea grew up wandering the lava flows of downtown Rome, Italy.  

MATTHEW P. MCKAY

Member of the Board and Treasurer

Matt McKay is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geography, Geology, and Planning at Missouri State University. He specializes in field geology, tectonics, and novel approaches to geoscience education.
