ANGELA M. HESSLER
Director and Chair of the Board
Angela Hessler is an earth scientist with a PhD from Stanford University. She has worked in academia and industry and started DTI to help advance paleoclimatology and earth science education. She was Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Geoscience Education (2024-2025) and is now Senior Research Editor at Science. Angela grew up exploring the ancient coral reefs of central Missouri, USA.
ANDREA FILDANI
Co-Director and Secretary of the Board
Andrea Fildani is an earth scientist with a PhD from Stanford University. He has worked in industry and joined DTI to pursue research on past ocean acidification events and philosophy of science studies. He is a professor at University of Naples (Federico II). Andrea grew up wandering the lava flows of downtown Rome, Italy.
